The conference has no political orientation; it is an independent and neutral research platform, unaffiliated with any political or ideological entity. It aims to foster scientific dialogue and present evidence-based solutions, away from political or sectarian polarization.

Around 50 Yemeni researchers and experts from inside Yemen and abroad are participating in the conference, representing a wide range of academic and professional fields. They are distributed across the different sessions to present research papers and scientific lectures addressing pivotal issues in the trajectory of development and national transformation. A specialized scientific committee oversees the academic content of the conference by reviewing papers, ensuring quality, and shaping the overall conceptual framework of the sessions.

The conference focuses on key developmental themes: health, education, national identity, economy, environment and food, and energy, in addition to the future of political life in Yemen. These themes were chosen to reflect the country’s core challenges and potential opportunities for change.

The conference is a purely voluntary initiative led by Tawakkol Karman Foundation in partnership with a group of Yemeni professionals. There are no participation fees, and the organizing committee covers the costs of hosting researchers coming from inside Yemen and abroad (visas, travel, accommodation, and flights).

The conference aims to produce reference research papers compiled and published in a collective book documenting the proceedings, to be made available to researchers and interested audiences. It is also expected to serve as the nucleus for establishing a reliable knowledge platform on Yemeni affairs, contributing to rebuilding public discourse on scientific foundations.
